Old news now really but firstly my cow photo, (well she’s not my cow…but you know what I mean), won the Sligo section of the Look West Fine Things photo competition. There was a piece on SligoToday about it. I was asked for a few words by the Sligo Weekender who are going to do a piece on it….I felt like I’d won an Oscar 😉 I’ve won lunch for two at Shells in Strandhill and also a copy of their Surf Cafe Cookbook…I’d already bought the book so I gave my copy to my friend. So that was very exciting.
The second piece of good news is that my blog was nominated in the Blog Awards Ireland 2012 awards. A massive thank you to those who took the time to nominate the blog…..what’s so amazing is it’s not in just one category but 13 of them!! To say I’m gobsmacked is an understatement! Now it’s in the long list at the moment (and it is a very long list). I have to keep everything crossed now that it gets through to the short list and hopefully the finals.
