Thanks to Kim (Pass the Potatoes) for posting this. Here are my answers:
Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Well I’m allergic to eggs so it wouldn’t be Egg Nog. I’m not a Hot Chocolate person either so I would pick Baileys or tea.
Coloured lights on tree/house or white? I like both. This year our tree has just white lights but that’s only because the coloured ones decided to pack up and Tesco had some white lights half price.
Do you hang mistletoe? No, I used to bring it into school when I was a young thing and torment the nice looking lads…it didn’t work though 😦
When do you put your decorations up? Usually 12 days before Christmas but this year we put them up on the 8th. We only have a tree and a few little ornaments. I don’t like the decorations that hang from the ceiling. Too much effort to put up and take down and major dust catchers.
What is your favorite holiday dish? I like all the ‘party’ food that we usually have on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day (St. Stephen’s Day).
Favourite Holiday memory as a child? I don’t know really. I’ve got plenty of ‘unfavourite’ ones though.
When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I asked my mum one year is Santa was real and she just said ‘No’. That was it.
Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No.
How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Just threw everything on it.
Snow! Love it or Dread it? I used to like it in the good old days when it lasted for a day. The last two years we’ve been snowed in though for a couple of weeks at a time and I now hate it. Although it does make for nice photos.
Do you remember your favourite gift? Not really. I got a play doh set once that I liked.
What is your favourite Holiday Dessert? I don’t really have one.
What is your favourite holiday tradition? Again I don’t have one….oh I sound like a real Scrooge!
Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Yuck.
Favourite Christmas movie? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I love it.
Saddest Christmas Song? I don’t like the slow soppy ones like ‘Winter’s Tale’.
What is your favourite Christmas song? I like ‘Once in Royal David’s City’.
