Away with the birds

Today was a gorgeous day in Sligo (for a change). I have been promising my mum I would take her to Eagles Flying which is just down the road from us in Ballymote. So today Andy and Jono went to Ballina and I took mum and Lucy to Eagles Flying.

The place has changed since we were there last. With this large room built and the pet zoo inside it. Rosie the pig has the run of the place and knocked me over a couple of times 😉 She was rescued from a pub, can you believe the pub had her inside the place?

This raccoon was gorgeous. It’s great to be able to pet animals like this that you wouldn’t normally get to see. We were told to watch our phones etc because she would steal them. Mum was given food for her pocket and the raccoon helped herself.

Lucy’s favourite was the Albino hedgehog. They had to watch that he didn’t fall off the table!

This chinchilla was so cute, he was so soft. I can’t believe that people make coats out of these 😦

Anyway after we saw the pet zoo we got to watch the flying show. These beautiful birds fly right over your head. It’s a really interesting and informative display and you get to learn a lot as well in a humorous way.

I’m not impressed with the birds in flight photo’s I took so I dare say I will be back for another visit soon. I have a lot more photo’s to go through and they will be on flickr in the coming days.

I got to let this bird land on my hand 🙂 I’m not usually this wrinkled, my face just needed an iron! 😉
