The photo is the middle of an angel I have hanging in my window. There is a lot going on at the moment which I won’t go into on the blog.
What I will go into though is why do I always get the slowest check out girl in the supermarket. The woman in front of me didn’t have a bar code on her salad so off went the check out girl to get a bar code. I’m sure she must have walked to Carrick on Shannon it took her so long to arrive back.
When she finally started to serve me her ‘Daddy’ came into the shop. Now bearing in mind this woman hasn’t seen 40 in many years it sounded a bit odd for her to keep saying Daddy. She was asking him why he was in the shop (for shopping I’d have thought), it turned out he needed fire lighters. I was amazed she didn’t leave the till again to go and get them for him. Anyway she pointed him in the right direction and then horror of horrors Daddy got lost! So she was yelling across the shop to another check out girl to find him. Now the shop isn’t very big so I couldn’t see what the major panic was. Daddy was found in the end with his fire lighters…..panic over.
The motto of the day is if you happen to go into a supermarket in Sligo and see a blonde woman with a face like a slapped arse go to another till.
Hope everything is okay. The check-out is something we all suffer from, from time to time – your incident would be just as funny in a sit com!
Love the Angel picture, beautiful. I have recently acquired some Angel cards and they are very inspiring.

Thanks for your kind words 🙂 x
Shame on you Val, your last line made me laugh so loud I woke Alastair. Naughty naughty girl!!
It was so like something from Father Ted I wish I filmed it!
Hi Val,
I love crystals – I have a few dangling at my windows – they are beautiful when the light catches.
Hope all is ok – you know where I am.x
Thanks Michelle, I’ll send an email soon x
I too have an unfailing nose for the problematic supermarket queue. It’s not something you need on a day when you have other things weighing on your mind.
I do have to smile, visualising Daddy and his slapped arse daughter.
Beautiful photograph of the angel crystal.
Thanks Stella, typical Ireland really 🙂
I know you are having a bad day but that post gave me a good laugh!!! Nothing queer as folk!! I will look out for the slapped arse blonde next time I am in Sligo!
I hope everything is ok with you and yours. It might be worth saying these few words to yourself a few times as I find comfort and strength in them! “this too shall pass” Not profound but it helps me at times! Mind yourself and if I can be of any help flickr mail me.
Thanks Greg, I sent you a mail 🙂
