Water everywhere but not a drop to drink

Firstly Happy New Years Eve Eve 🙂 Or should that be New Years Eve Adam?

There has been chaos here regarding the water supply. My mum’s water went off on the 23rd. So she’s had to come up here for baths and to get her washing done. Then today we heard that the Main Street in the village hasn’t had any water since Christmas Day. Thankfully mum’s water came on today! She’s delighted. There are still loads of people without water though, I feel really sorry for them.

I took the kids out to have a look at the Sligo ‘sales’ on Tuesday. They were rubbish really. Lucy got a few things from Next. Some of the shops had 1 euro off items….wow!  Look at what I bought:

Then today I took mum into town so she could have a look around. I was surprised on both days at how quiet the place was. I suppose people just don’t have the money to spend. I couldn’t believe it when I saw these guys in Tesco though:

  1. i wouldn’t be surprised to see the easter chocolate Val, they rely on folk being seasonally fissed as a part to pay the ridiculous prices.

  2. I hope the water issue turns out well. Nothing much to do with the water companies I guess, they just have to deal with the aftermath. Easter – my goodness, we haven’t taken the Christmas decor down yet!
