Sligo Airport Open Day

Rainbow plane, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.

We had a great day today. We went to Sligo Airport. They had a great open day for all the family…..and it was free.

There was a BBQ, animals from Tullyboy farm, planes (of course), Civil defence, parachute displays, model planes, bouncy castles, face painting, vintage cars and a brilliant DJ who played some great music. Lots more photo’s here.

We spent a couple of hours looking around. It’s the first time we have ever been at the airport. I think one of these days we might try a flight to Dublin instead of the train.

After the airport and a quick walk down by the beach we went to Sligo Golf Academy for a coffee. We got to meet Tommy Bree who is one of Own a Chord who star in An Evening with Sgt. Pepper. We had a great chat with him and if anyone is interested in golf (or coffee) call in and say hello to Tommy.
