Today was Andys check up at the hospital. Some of you might know that he had blood clots in his lungs in January. So he’s been on warfarin since then……which is a pain because he has to go to the hospital for regular blood tests. It’s about a 25 minute drive for a two minute blood test.

The doctor today said Andy can stop taking the warfarin and see how he gets on. That’s great news and will save a lot of trips into Sligo.

This weekend is going to be a big one for Sligo. Westlife and Leonard Cohen are playing at Lissadell House. Not on the same night incase you are wondering. More information on concert times etc is on Sligo today. It’s a very narrow road that leads to Lissadell so there are carparks nearby and shuttle buses running.

There is also a festival on for the weekend which includes a French Market. O’Connell Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday for ‘Entertainment day’ where there will be live music and dancing and all kinds of fun and games. More information is on Sligo Events.
