It’s Friday!

So what do I have to tell you all.

Well firstly it’s going to be a great weekend here in Sligo. The first Só Sligo Festival is being held. There are all kinds of events including the World Irish Stew Championships, markets, carnivals, teddy bears picnics, mad hatters tea party, Yeats country tour, music, fun, food and laughter. Check out their website for all the info and if you are anywhere near Sligo come along for the craic.

I was at the market today, it’s lovely to see life in the town and is a great event to have after St. Patricks Day.

On to other news. Sligo TV put up some of my photos and also my video of the St. Patrick’s Day parade. I think the photos look great on the website.

Also the dustmen came yesterday! Now this might not sound like a big deal but as I usually have to bring my rubbish into the village for collection and now I have a wheelie bin and the dustmen call to the house! Happy days.

Just when I thought we had arrived in the 21st century the water went off. You never realise how much you miss it until it’s gone. We didn’t realise until the tank in the loft was empty….poor Lucy was washing her hair (and there was no water to rinse it). So I had to whizz down to the local shop and buy bottles of water. It didn’t come back on until this afternoon….I took Jono swimming so we could go and have a shower!
