Regular readers to my blog will know that Andy has had a bad back since September.
Things went from bad to worse yesterday and he was in agony and had collapsed on the floor. I managed to get him up and was giving him painkillers but nothing was working. Anyway at 2am he fell again so I had to call an ambulance.
I was trying to phone my mum to get her to come around and stay with the kids but she couldn’t hear the phone.
The ambulance men gave Andy gas and air and after a lot of manouvering they managed to get him into the ambulance. While they were taking him into hospital I took the kids down to my mums and then carried onto the hospital.
He was kept in A&E until 3.30pm when they moved him to a ward. He was in a corridor for a couple of hours in A&E because it was so busy. He had an mri scan on Thursday and it showed bulging discs. At the moment he is on morphine injections which help a bit but not much.

Hope Andy will manage to get some relief from the pain and that the medical folk can get to the bottom of what is causing it.

Oh, dear! It never rains but it pours.
I have a friend who sat in the driving seat of his car for three nights (while awaiting admission for surgery) as it was the only way he could get any relief from agonising back pain. He was out of the hospital within 24 hours of surgery as the post-op pain was negligible compared to pre-op.
Here’s hoping Andy gets lasting relief soon!
