Wednesday

Beautiful, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.

This is an old pic, but I like it so I’m putting it up. Also I haven’t had much chance to take photos lately due to my ‘nursing’ role.

Lucy woke up this morning covered in blood and yuck. I phoned the hospital in Dublin and they say it’s better out then in and they’ll see her tomorrow, so I took her to the GP. Luckily he didn’t say ‘Oh my God’ this time but he did turn a very fetching shade of green. The nurse redressed the wound and Lucy almost kicked her….wonderful. I had to grab her legs (Lucys not the nurse).

Andy is still bent (oo’er missus).
Jono is doing a great job of being Dr. Jon. He’s been really good. He’s having a lot of chest pain now especially when he is trying to sleep….his appointment is next week so fingers crossed. We had a call from the Daily Mail today who want him for a ‘photo call’ on Saturday, he’s very excited about it.

I’ve spent most of the day feeling like someone has hit me over the head with a lump of wood. I’m a very calm person but so much has gone on over the last week it’s a bit mad. My mum blames the solar light that she put on dads grave….she thinks he doesn’t like it so is sending all these things to try our patience……I must go and move the bloody thing to see if it makes a difference.

Two things that I have to share.
1. Crocs……they are just wrong (I think I have mentioned this before), but they are especially wrong is they are bright orange and worn by men. I saw a gentleman at the doctors today wearing them…..I bet the GP took one look and said ‘Oh my God’!

2. I went to get petrol and the station had run out….typical Ireland. Nothing surprises me anymore.

  1. Hi Val

Sounds like you’re being dragged through the mill at the moment……BACKWARDS!!

Hope everyone is ok very soon and hope Jono’s appointment goes well.

    Take care!

  2. You are having a very difficult time at the moment so make sure that you are taking care of yourself.
Hope the Daily Mail item helps to get something moving at last for Jono.

  3. Hi Val
Great pic again, lovely colours – one of my favourite times of the year. Stella is absolutely right – make sure you have time for you. Short walks are good for a break particularly with the excuse of needing to keep fit – who could complain? I hope that the appointment with Jonno works out and there is some positive movement. I don’t think the solar light is the issue, you are going through what many families go through and that’s a whole raft of things happen all at once – Sod’s Law. (Best get it all over with at one go!) What are Crocs?
Take care and regards to you all.
