Well another day, another trip to the doctors.
This time with Lucy. I thought her wound was infected and it is. The doctor examined her and after he said ‘Oh my God’ (how re-assuring) he called the nurse to dress it and gave her a course of anti-biotics. We have to back again tomorrow. Then back to Dublin on Thursday.
Andy is still hobbling around. I tried a bit of crystal healing for him today, it seemed to help for a while but then he was back in pain again.
My mum on the other hand seems to be improving (thank goodness for that!)
In other news: I just finished Paul Hendys book Diary of a C-List Celeb. It was brilliant. I haven’t enjoyed a book so much in ages. I emailed him to tell him and was delighted that he replied back 🙂 He has another book out ‘Who killed Simon Peters?’ which I must get.
Also I have been delighted to be given two blog awards by two fellow bloggers.

This is from Maternal Tales from the South Coast

This one is from Diary of a Country Wife
Thank you both so much, I’m delighted.
I’d like to give the awards to (and I haven’t included people that already have lots of awards).
The I love your blog award goes to: Rare Lesser Spotted
The One Lovely Blog goes to: Journeying beyond breast cancer
and also Blog from the Bog

Hi there! I can’t thank you enough for the award. (I don’t have a speech prepared or anything;-))I’ve never had one before and coming from you it’s an honour! It’s amazing that you are able to take these fabulous pictures, do the laundry, look after your family and cope with all of the medical emergencies that life has thrown at you and in such great humour. Seriously Val, you are an inspiration. Hope that Your Mun continues to improve and, Andy too and that the antibiotics sort Lucy out and that the trip to dublin goes well. I’m going to order the book you recommended. Take care and thanks again. janex
In accepting this magnificent award, I would like to thank Val for voting for me, my parents for bringing me up right to write English just like what they did; my wife for leaving me alone when I’m writing my blogs and my creative team of one – me! I wish my blog was as half as good as this one.
Kindest regards to Magnumlady and all her readers.
