There was great excitement (for me anyway) as The Range opened on April 4th, 2025, in the Homebase unit at the Sligo Retail Park. I’d heard great things about The Range, and there were a lot of rumours about them opening, but it was only confirmed recently.
I was up bright and early, as the first 50 people were promised a goodie bag. I was number 7 in the queue and was given a gift card, I don’t know what’s on it yet because I’m saving it for my next visit. Today was just a chance for me to look around and to take some photos so I could write a blog post to tell you all about it.
It’s lovely to see the staff from Homebase working there, and there are new staff as well. The store is much the same layout as Homebase, the tills are in the same place, the garden centre is the same, etc. The store is dog friendly, and there were a few dogs wandering around with their owners.
There’s a huge amount of choice, and I’ve just realised that’s probably why it’s called The Range, because of the range of goods they sell! You can expect homewares, arts and crafts, furniture, small electrical items, products for pets and gardens, lighting, cleaning products, and so much more.
