Purple Hair – Don’t Care

I have wanted purple in my hair for a long time, and today was finally the day that I got a lovely purple streak done, and I love it!

I never used to like getting my hair done, I never felt comfortable, and I used to find that some hairdressers would hurt me – not intentional I’m sure, but I’ve had my hair pulled, scalp burnt, and been hit by a hairdryer. I’d been in to the Hair and Beauty Quarter for skin treatments (thanks Muireann), and I was very comfortable going in there, so it made sense to get my hair done there. All the staff are just wonderful and Janelle, who does my hair, is amazing.

Janelle did a root colour and highlights, I’ve had this done the last few times and loved the results, to get the streak of purple to take a section of my hair had to be lightened, it’s actually very subtle – and I’m half tempted to go all purple!! Although I know it will fade and I’ll have to keep the purple topped up, or maybe I’ll try a different colour – rainbow hair anyone?

For now, I’m happy out, and feeling much more like myself. A huge thanks to Muireann for sorting out my eyebrows while the colour was taking, not saying my eyebrows were bad – but I swear I’ve lost a stone, and I can now see again!
