I love anything a bit different and this Honesty Box Bakery is just that! Located in beautiful Leitrim, overlooking the stunning Darty Mountains and Eagles Rock, this is one bakery you just have to visit.
Eagles Bakery is on the road from Kinlough to Manorhamilton, you can’t miss the bright blue box. Inside there are all kinds of goodies, including biscuits, brownies, cupcakes, apple tarts, rice krispie buns, lemon drizzle cakes, and more. You will also find a selection of gluten- free treats too.
All the items are priced and you just leave the money for the goods you want. I bought brownies, biscuits and rice krispie buns, so far I’ve tried the biscuits, they are gorgeous. I’d really recommend getting some treats and heading for Glenade Lough for a picnic – just keep a look out for the Dobhar-chú – Ireland’s answer to the Lough Ness Monster – more about that in another blog post.
