The Lurganboy Chapel of Ease Flower Festival

I love flower festivals and have missed going to Bloom for the last number of years, so I was delighted to see The Lurganboy Flower Festival taking place this weekend, even more exciting was that it was in The Chapel of Ease. I’ve seen this beautiful blue tin church so many times but I’ve never been in it until now.

The Lurganboy Chapel of Ease is 160 years old and is the last tin church left standing in Leitrim. It’s just so pretty and unusual and it stands proudly on a hill overlooking fields. On a side note if you are in the area you have to visit Milltown Woods just up the road.

Back to the flower festival, it was just gorgeous, and so worth a visit. The good news is that it’s on tomorrow – Bank Holiday Monday August 1st, 2022 from 10am – 5pm, I’d really recommend a visit. The eircode is F91 DX20, it’s just a few miles from Manorhamilton, Leitrim. Let me know if you go.
