There’s great news for those of you in Sligo, as Ballymote Castle is now open to the public. It’s open every day from 10am – 5pm and admission is free.
Well done to Ballymote Area Development Group workers, community groups and the OPW for getting the castle back open. There’s a great heritage trail in Ballymote, which I’ll write about in more detail in another blog post, for now you can read about in on Sligo Walks: https://sligowalks.ie/walks/ballymote-heritage-trail/
