Osta celebrate 15 years – Focus on Sligo Food

If you are looking for a coffee shop with a warm welcome Osta Cafe and Wine Bar should be on your list. This summer they celebrated 15 years in business which is a testament to the wonderful food and great service that they offer.

Osta is location alongside the river, in the heart of Sligo town. They offer outdoor seating, which is undercover, as well as indoor dining.

Coffee Cake

You can enjoy Barista prepared coffees, fresh home-baked cakes, scones and savories. Also serving brunch, lunch, pancakes and more, with an emphasis on using local produce. Vegan, gluten free & special diets are also catered for.

I love that the website mentions the suppliers which include:
Rod Alston of Eden Plants (the pioneer organic farmer), Arne (son of Volkmar) Klohn of Crimlin Farm  and Croghan Farm -seasonal vegetables. 
Ann & Thomas O’ Donovan of Ballysadare Eggs free range eggs
Lyon’s Bakehouse – freshly baked French breads.
Keith Clarke – Knocknarea Honey
Andarl Farm, Adrian Sheeran, Clarkes Butchers who supply breakfast meats and their own cured ham. 
Dozios of Mayo – cheese  
Shines wild Irish Tuna  and Gerry Blaine – fish

Their new opening hours are (from November 2021):
Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm. Closed on Wednesday. Friday 8am to 6pm. Saturday 8am to 5pm. Sundays 9am to 3pm
