Saturday in Tubbercurry

I had a lovely day today in Tubbercurry. There was shopping, lunch, the library and reiki.

Tanya from Reiki Concepts Therapy has her practice there, I went to her just after my mum died and my energy was through the floor, I’m came out of there bouncing! Tanya told me things on both occasions that no one else knew. She’s such a wonderful lady and if you are looking for reiki or an angel card reading I’d really recommend her.

I am on the look out for a dress or some kind of outfit for our work party. I can’t find anything so far, in saying that it’s the charity shops I’ve been scouring. I love charity shops and most of my clothes come from there, it’s great to get a bargain and good for the environment too. I’ve had a few clothes shaves recently, you know where you try to get a dress on and end up with an arm – another part of your body stuck in it? Or is that just me? I’m convinced one day I’ll have to call in someone to get me out of it!

When I was with Tanya I noticed she had the most amazing lamp, it’s an oil burner and a touch lamp and I fell in love with it. She told me it was from Gillespies in the town so off I went and treated myself. I try to shop locally whenever I can, it keeps the money in the locality and we are lucky here in Sligo to have some fantastic independent shops so I like to support them. Gillespies is a real treasure trove for gifts and they are reasonably priced too.

I had lunch in Cawley’s. I love this place, it’s so relaxed and friendly and the food is great too. I also had a visit to the library, the Tubbercurry library is also an Open Library. This means that members of library can now access it on a self-service basis, available from 8am – 10pm, 7 days a week. So you can borrow & return items, use the internet and study. It’s a fantastic service.

The sunset photo was taken on my way home, I’d love to know what the building is or was. It’s in Achonry/Mullinabreena so if anyone can tell me I’d be grateful.
