In case some of you might be stuck for inspiration I thought I’d do a post of some gift ideas for Mother’s Day:
A ticket for the Sligo Acts play in the Hawk’s Well Theatre – which just happens to be on Mother’s Day – and I’m in it! Shameless plug!
A unicorn dream catcher from Angelworld or some unicorn goodies from Claire’s Accessories, Johnston Court – OK so this might be aimed at me – it’s acceptable to buy a present for yourself isn’t it?
Art supplies from SG Education – again aimed at me 😉
A beautiful gift from The Cat and the Moon – confession I work here but there really are so many things I love. Check out the journals, the hanging crystals, the scarves and the ceramic animals, not to mention the beautiful Martina Hamilton jewellery.
A day in Strandhill – climb Knocknarea or walk to Killaspugbrone, a seaweed bath in Voya followed by lunch in Shells. If you want to make a weekend of it a night in Strandhill Lodge and Suites and dinner in The Venue.
Afternoon Tea in Eala Bhan or The Glasshouse – both gorgeous – Eala Bhan is pictured.
A book or music from Liber. I love this shop and we are very lucky to have it in Sligo. I noticed this DVD about Sligo which might be of interest to those who have moved away.
Something special from Cait and I. Check out the Gary Reddin prints and the pretty tableware.
A night on the town cocktails in The Blind Tiger or a drink in Thomas Connolly’s – both have live music most nights.
A jewellery making workshop. Either with Tiffany Budd – which I’ve done and loved or with Graham Reid which I haven’t done but I like the look of.
Foodie goodies from Kate’s Kitchen and Osta. Hot chocolate from Heart’s Desire….and of course cake from all of them!
