It’s been quite a while since I had my hair done properly. I usually a wash and go type of person. In other words my hair gets washed and then tied into a ponytail. Pure laziness on my part, that and the fact that I never know what suits me. Still on my bucket list is my head to toe makeover….anyway I digress.
Myself and Lucy went along bright and early this morning to the Marian Dineen Hair Studio. It’s located in Sligo town so very easy to get to. We were welcomed by Sarah and Orla who were our stylists. They are lovely girls, just so friendly – and I didn’t get asked if I’m going on holiday! Bonus!
As we relaxed and had our hair washed we listened to 2FM who happened to be talking about grass screaming when it’s cut – yes really! We all now know quite a lot about grass, including the fact that cows won’t eat if it’s taller than 12 inches. Kudos to Orla who gave my hair the best ever hair wash and she was so gentle, pure bliss!
I was settled into the styling chair surrounded by some of the coolest contraptions I’ve ever seen. I always feel that whoever does my hair should be given a sympathy card. It’s wild and unmanageable and never does what it’s supposed to – actually that sounds like me!
It was no bother to Orla though, she had my hair under control in record time, as I sipped my tea and read lovely up to date magazines (not the ones that are four years old that you find at the doctors). My hair even got the steam pod treatment which made my hair gorgeous and straight and stops it’s going frizzy in our strange weather.
My hair ended up gorgeous, silky, smooth and straight. I’m delighted with it! Well done to Orla for such a wonderful, stress free, pain-free, hair experience. I can’t wait to go back again! Now I just need the face sorted 😉
