It was my birthday on Friday and although I hadn’t intended venturing out Lucy and Laurence kindly gave me a voucher for Nook in Collooney. I decided we should all go there for lunch, we also paid a visit to Mill Falls (above) – well worth a visit.
If you haven’t been to Nook it really is well worth a visit. The food is gorgeous and it’s easy to see how it was crowned the winner of the Georgina Campbell Newcomer of the Year 2017 Award. The photo of the Unicorn Hot Chocolate is from a previous visit. I didn’t take too many photos this time – we were too busy eating.
I had the Naanwich which is one of my favourite dishes from the menu. It’s buttermilk chicken in a naan bread with tikka sauce and salad – do try the chips as well. I’m not usually a fan of chips but the Nook ones are pretty special.
We all shared a Reece’s Pieces Doughnut for dessert – not that we are cheapskates but because we were all so full. We didn’t need to eat anything for the rest of the day! Clean plates and full tums all round.
It is worth reserving a table if you are going at lunchtime because it can get very busy, also the food is cooked to order so you will have to wait a little while for your food – it’s worth the wait though. Well done Nook – keep up the good work.
