In order to find my missing mojo I took a trip to the Botanic Gardens in Dublin today. It’s one of my favourite places in Dublin to visit and it’s free! I was delighted with this little fellow decided to pose for me. So after taking about 50 photos of him I carried on to look at the rest of the gardens.
At the moment ‘Sculpture in Context’ is on. It’s Ireland’s largest outdoor sculpture exhibition and features artists from both Ireland and abroad. This is my third year to visit the exhibition and I always find it fascinating to see the different art works.
Of course not only are there wonderful sculptures there are also the most beautiful flowers that brighten up the dullest of days.
It really is the perfect place to collect your thoughts and take a break from the hustle and bustle of life.
You can get to the Botanic Gardens on the number 4 or 9 bus from O’Connell Street, Dublin. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to get there.
Sculpture in Context runs until October 21st. You can find more details about it here.
Also check out the wonderful piece by Sligo’s own talented Michael Budd:
Gorgeous photos of one of my old haunts. Great to be brought back there, Val.
