Well Summer seems to have arrived in Ireland, certainly if most of October and so far November are anything to go by, better late than never!
I went over to Tubbercurry to take down the Wild Atlantic Wayfarer exhibition today, on the way there and back I was practising our songs for Sligo Sings. I’ve realised I can’t sing and breathe at the same time so that’s a bit of a problem! I actually went light-headed which isn’t great when I’m driving! I’ve decided I’m either going to need an oxygen tank on the evening at the Hawk’s Well Theatre or I’m going to die, mid-performance. It’ll be interesting whatever happens!
Anyway back to taking down the exhibition. When I put it up I had the help of a kind man called John, who had a big ladder. Alas John was nowhere to be seen today so I’m ended up channelling my inner Spiderman and climbing up a wall to get the higher pics….it worked! Maybe it was the lack of oxygen that helped!
The pic above was taken at 6pm this evening in Sligo town. I do love it down by the river, with the bats flying over and back. It’s a very special place.
