A Winter Light

IMG_3060The wind was howling today in Sligo so I headed to The Model to see Mark Garry’s latest exhibition ‘A Winter Light’. It was a dull day so there wasn’t a lot of natural light but the exhibition is beautifully lit and I loved the way it was causing shadows.

IMG_3109The photo above looks like a painting but it’s strands of coloured thread that drape across the rooms. It’s nice to see rainbows when the weather is so bad. It reminds me a bit of the Dark Side of the Moon album cover.

I really enjoyed looking at the exhibition. Thanks to The Model for letting me take photos. An artist talk with Mark Garry on his curatorial practice will take place on Thursday February 20th at 2pm.

IMG_3026As always I never know which photos to use in the blog post, but you can see the other ones I took here.
