Before I went to Strandhill I popped along to the Connacht Gold Store in Sligo to see Dave’s Jungle. He had some really impressive creatures with him and it was great to see people of all ages so interested in the animals.
Even I held a tarantula and I’m not that keen on spiders, I wouldn’t have been as brave as this lad and had it on my head though!
The animals were very well behaved (so were the people), I especially like Kevin the crocodile. He was very taken with Heidi’s Nan.
Out next was the longest snake I’ve ever seen, it took about ten children to hold it.
If you want to book Dave and his jungle for a party, event or school visit you can contact him here. The rest of my photos are here.
Very cool photos. Kids love those animals.
Michael was happy to see you there. I’m so glad you told me about this event because it was the highlight of Molly’s week. She’s still talking about it. Will have to post some our pictures too. Yours are fantastic … as usual!
I have to say that I’d be more than a wee bit skeered of holding a tarantula, never mind having one sit on top of my head! Same for that v-e-r-r-r-r-r-r-y long snake, beautiful and amazing looking in its own snake-y way :: The expression on that young girl’s face is brilliant – I’d have looked the same way…while holding my breath as well as the snake, lol. Kevin the baby croc is adorable, though – I’d have loved to say hello to him as well as…is that an iguana or a gekko, maybe? A kimono dragon?
Thanks for these photos, Val. Perfect for Hallowe’en…can’t wait to see your ‘Most Vampires in One Location’ photos š
