I was driving through Castlebaldwin this morning and decided to call in and pay a visit to Michael Budd who has his forge there.
It was so interesting watching him work, he was chatting away to me as he worked but was still able to produce something amazing.
Michael turned a plain piece of metal into a horses head in about ten minutes.
Anyone is welcome to call in to Michael’s forge and visit him at work. You can find him on the N4 Sligo-Dublin Road opposite Supermac’s in Castlebaldwin.

You can also find Michael at the Tubbercurry Old Fair Day on August the 14th. Sligo should celebrate and support the wonderful artists we have in the county.
Thanks so much to Michael for letting me take photos. You can see more of Michael’s work on his website.
Reblogged this on artattack.
