Jono and I had a great day today. We went to Enniskillen to see vintage traction engines arrive. During the week they had Bundoran, Belleek and Irvinestown, today they finished their journey by arriving in Enniskillen.
It was lovely to see them on the road. They really don’t make them like this anymore.
The event was part of a celebration of Fermanagh and Donegal railways. We also went to visit a wonderful model railway exhibition which I’ll blog about later and saw some beautiful paintings of steam trains at Enniskillen Castle. There is also Headhunters which is a railway museum (and also a barbers) in the town. We visited there before.
Well done to the organisers for holding this event, it was brilliant.
