This is a long overdue blog. Last month Lucy and I went to Kilronan Castle. The family got me a voucher for my birthday in February and I only just got around to using it. We went on one of the worst days so there aren’t many photos due to the lousy weather.
We booked spa treatments for ourselves. Lucy had a facial and I booked the ‘mini treats’ where you choose three mini treatments. I wanted the back massage, manicure and dry floatation but there was no one there that could do nails so I ended up having a facial instead. The facial was actually the nicest part of it. The back massage was really quite painful so not enjoyable and I found the dry floatation boring…but that’s just me, if I’m not leaping around with the camera or doing something I tend to get bored.
The spa is a beautiful place, so relaxing. The photo above is heading to the thermal room…..which was great. I only found out afterwards we could have used the leisure centre but I didn’t know about it at the time which was a shame. We booked the lunch as part of the spa package but if I was going back again I wouldn’t do that as my lunch cost me a lot more than it would have done if I’d ordered it through the bar.
Kilronan really is a beautiful place. We had a wonderful day. I’d love to go back again although next time I’d just go for the facial.
Lucy decided to have afternoon tea which was beautiful. Lovely presentation, I had a bit of a scone and it was gorgeous. All in all it was a lovely day.

A good day was had ! Beautiful photos Val/….x
Thanks Bookee x
Great pictures Val, looks like you had a fab time. My hubby took me to the castle for the weekend last year to celebrate my 40th and we had a fab weekend. He also surprised me with a day in the spa, I must have got a gentle masseur as it was lovely. It is a beautiful place and would definitely go back.
What a lovely surprise Claire. You must have got a different masseur to me, mine almost killed me!
