After I went to boot camp this morning I took a magical mystery tour….well it wasn’t meant to be. I was just heading from Castle Dargan to Glencar but the Sat Nav decided to take me around half the country. Anyway on my way to Glencar I stopped off at the Isle of Innisfree which is the photo at the top of the page. As usual it wasn’t the best day. I got this pic in between downpours.

I finally got to Glencar after a fairly long drive. The rain just stopped as I arrived. The waterfall is really beautiful. I put the camera on a slow shutter speed to get the movement of the water.
It’s great to see the pony and trap at Glencar. You can get a ride along the lake for 20 euro a family. I’d love to go back again and go for a spin.
My main reason for going to Glencar today was because Annie West was telling me on twitter that the fence was covered in tissues and sweet wrappers. I had to go for a look. There were also items of underwear including a thong on the top right! We are wondering why? I know at the Holy Well there are the rag trees…but this is just odd. So does anyone know who put these items in Glencar and why?
