I asked for some suggestions last week of places in or around Sligo for blog posts. One of my twitter friends suggested Deerpark in Calry. I’d never been there so off I went.
The walk around is about 3.5km. On the way you find Deerpark Court Tomb, also known as the Giant’s Grave.

I have to say I stood by the tomb and took some time to just look around. The views were stunning. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful area.

This was the beautiful view. It still makes me feel ‘wow’. To the right of the photo you can see Knocknarea mountain.
On the way back down the scenery was equally as stunning. I’m so surprised that I’d never really heard about Deerpark it’s as nice a walk as Knocknarea and not as slippery either.
I will go back very soon to Calry. Next time I’m bringing a picnic 🙂
Your first photograph just invites me to walk further down that path. Good job!
Thanks 🙂
ITs pretty awesome!!!!
Thanks
Beautiful scenery, I’ve never been to Ireland. I really should – not as if it’s that far!
Ireland is lovely. Quite similar landscape to Cornwall I think.
