Off the Rails on tour in Sligo

Off the rails is a fashion show on RTE here in Ireland. The show is on tour and today it came to Sligo. A friend of mine got tickets to be in the audience and ask me if I’d like to go too 🙂

We had to be there for 2pm and the show was held in the Quayside shopping centre. It was a long afternoon and the filming didn’t finish until almost 6pm. You’d never think so much went into the show unless you saw it live. The presenter’s had to do quite a few takes of the different links for the show. It’s certainly not glamorous being on tv and I wouldn’t want their job.

Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon and the presenters and they are both really friendly and down to earth. Brendan is really funny. We met both of them afterwards and got our photo’s taken with them. Brendan was saying he was on the train coming to Sligo on Friday and can you believe someone pinched one of his shoes! So if anyone see’s someone with one odd shoe going around Sligo it’s Brendan’s.
