The X Factor, Live Show!

The regular readers to my blog will know that Lucy has a thing for Aiden Grimshaw. So when the X Factor show came to Dublin we had to go along too. We were lucky enough to get second row seats so I managed to get some half decent photo’s. We saw the show last year as well but I think this years one was better.

Cher started the show off with The Clapping Song, then later in the show sang Girlfriend, Stay and Whip My Hair/Turn My Swag On. She was full of energy and although I didn’t think much of her on the tv she was great live.

Next was Paije who I have to say looked fantastic in his purple suit. He sang ‘I’m a believer/Hey ya’. Followed by ‘Killing me softly’ in the second part of the show.

Aiden was next up. Lucy was delighted. He got a great response from the audience. He sang ‘Diamonds are forever’ and ‘Mad World’. He winked at Lucy at the end of the show. I sent him a message on twitter to say thank you and he replied and is now following me (on twitter of course, not in real life!) He’s a lovely guy.

Then came Wagner. What he lacks in singing ability he makes up for with his hilarious performance. At one point he started banging a pair of bongo’s! The backing dancers were great too. I’m delighted because he waved at me 🙂 Wagner sang ‘She bangs/Love Shack and in the second part of the show ‘Spice up your life/Livin’ la vida loca’.

Dublin’s Mary Byrne was next and the crowd went wild! They were on their feet and screaming. She was delighted by the re-action she got. Mary sang ‘Could it be magic’ and ‘A man’s world’.

Katie appeared from a hole in the stage to sing her first song which was ‘Help’. She came back on in the second part of the show to sing ‘King of the swingers’.

Rebecca was very sweet. She was waving at everyone and seemed genuinely touched by the crowds re-action to her. She has a lovely voice. Rebecca sang ‘Show me love’, ‘Make you feel my love’, ‘Sweet Dreams’ and ‘Distant Dreamer’.

One Direction had the most cheers of the night. The crowd really went mad. Everyone was on their feet dancing and singing along. I made eye contact with Harry and he waved at me several times 🙂 They sang ‘Only Girl’, ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Kids in America’, ‘My life would suck without you’ and ‘Forever Young’.

Matt was the last to sing. The crowd remained on their feet and sang along. Matt didn’t come out until the second half of the show. The first song he did was ‘Firework’ complete with dancers holding fireworks (rather them than me), followed by ‘Nights in white satin’, ‘Just the way you are’, ‘First time ever I saw your face’ and ‘When we collide’.

At the end all the finalist took to the stage to sing ‘Heroes’. Tonnes of white confetti came down from the ceiling. It was so thick it was hard to see the stage. I had it all down my top!

The rest of my photo’s are here. There is a short bit of video from the start of the show(I’ve got a few more videos to put up):

  1. Great photos Val. (Sounds like the travelling/nightmare hotel was worth it – get typing – they will probably offer you a free night!)
