Plan Ireland will bring the unique ‘Through a Girl’s Eyes’ photo exhibition to Sligo on Tuesday 15th February 2011. In conjunction with the exhibition, Plan Ireland is calling on local photographers to submit images of Sligo representing daily life with a special focus on the lives of children. The winning entry will receive a fantastic prize and will be displayed at the exhibition.
The ‘Through a Girl’s Eyes’ photo exhibition is a series of beautiful and thought provoking images, many of them captured by girls, who have attenden the Plan Project “Through Our Own Eyes”. Mike Mansfield, Sponsor Relations Manager with Plan Ireland said:
“The images provide us with a glimpse into the lives of the poorest children in the world and how they cope with the hardships they face. And many of the photographs are even taken by girls themselves.”
As well as an display of photography, the exhibitions will give Plan Ireland an opportunity to meet with some of our sponsors and supporters across the country, introduce ourselves to some new people amd meet local media. So we are very much looking forward to meet you in Sligo and please bring your friends and family for an interesting night.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
