Cracked Ice, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.
On Saturday there was a Wiki Wander in Sligo. It was held to celebrate ten years of Wikipedia.
People turned up with their cameras and were given a list of things to take photo’s of in a ‘scavenger hunt’. We had about two and a half hours to take the photo’s and returned to the Sligo VEC with our results. We walked for miles! Luckily it was a lovely day and not a drop of rain in sight.
Jono and I really enjoyed the day. We couldn’t wait around for the results (still recovering from the night before) but apparently I won something (no idea what yet).
The photo above is ‘Cracked ice’ which I used for the ‘Weather watching’ category.
The one above was used for the ‘Landmark’ section. There were also 6 other categories: Doorways, Fun, Modern, Irish sports, building and ‘my favourite place’. As usual I took way to many photo’s. You can see some more of them on flickr.
We went to see the exhibition yesterday, it’s in the Sligo VEC for a few more days for anyone that wants to see it. I had to laugh at someones ‘Favourite place’, it was a photo of a toilet 🙂

All good photos Val. Bet it was a lot of fun. Love your “cracked ice”.
Thanks Micky, it was good fun.
Great photos Val, looks like you had a great day weather wise.x
Luckily it was dry, which is unusual for Sligo!
Lovely picture of the cracked ice, I love the capture of the rich blues…

Thanks 🙂
The cracked ice picture is great Val. Was that the one that won?
Thanks Susan. I still don’t know which one won.
Thats a great idea! It sounds like fun! Fair play! Did Jono bring his camera?
