Last week we went to see Crystal Swing at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar.
Crystal Swing are a family group. They consist of Mary Burke and her son and daughter, Derek and Dervla.
The songs they sing are Country and Western/Irish/Showband songs.
Now regular readers to my blog will know that I’m a self confessed ‘rock chic’ so you’ll probably wonder why I was at a Crystal Swing concert. The answer to that is Jono.
This is a really odd thing but since he’s had his back surgery he really likes Crystal Swing. I’m convinced they surgeon either played it during the operation or his rods were made in a factory that played country music 😉
Anyway off we went to the concert. It was energetic. I think Derek must be the most flexible man I’ve ever seen. There are a few videos on my youtube page.
