Well I’m back! Did you miss me??
We moved on May 1st, but only got broadband back today. Living out in the sticks as we do, we can’t get broadband up the phoneline so had to wait for a man and a dish to come out, which he did today.
The move went ok, really tiring though, it’s amazing how much rubbish we had to move, considering we only moved last year. Luckily the new house is only a five minute drive from the old one, so we were able to drive most of the things up and back ourselves. A friend of Andys with a big van helped us move the bigger items, so that was handy.
We have the important things unpacked, but there is a room full of boxes still to go through. We spent the first few days not able to find anything….such fun!
It rained for the whole of last week and it was blooming freezing as well. The garden here is massive and the grass seemed to be growing an inch a minute. Luckily the sun finally came out yesterday and Andy got the grass cut (even though he said if we got the house I could cut the grass….but I’m not reminding him of that).
Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Is this really your new home? It’s gorgeous…and enormous and very American looking in fact!! And yes – I missed you!!! Welcome back. Hope your withdrawal symptoms aren’t too bad! xx
welcome back – enjoy your new home and new start! how could we not miss you X
yay indeed. welcome back. looking forward to a photo-peek of the interior
and hopefully seeing the real thing later in the year.
Welcome back and love the house. I’m sure you’ve got room for me and small child in there 😉 Oh and can you send Andy up to me cause my grass is about 6ft high and I ain’t doing it ha ha
Your new home looks lovely – enjoy!!!!
Val – your new house looks wonderful. We stayed in a cottage down in County Cork the year before last and the owners house (the cottage was in their grounds) is the double of your house. I’m definitely retiring to Ireland now!
