On Sunday I met up with Lucy and Laurence at the Taste of the Lakelands Food Festival. The festival was held in Lanesborough, Co. Longford which is just on the border of Longford and Roscommon.
Saturday saw the first ever Strandhill Food Festival and what a festival it was! Sligo Airport is already home to the Strandhill People’s Market every Sunday but as far as I know this is the first festival to take place in an airport in Ireland.
This weekend sees an amazing event taking place. If you’ve ever wanted to know about sustainable features and ways of living, many self-builds, renovations and extensions, will be open to the public. This is part of the Green-Door Festival and takes place in Counties Leitrim and Sligo.
Yesterday myself and Lucy headed to Bloom in Dublin. I applied for a media accreditation and was lucky enough to get approved so Lucy came along with me as my guest.
The Sligo Festival runs from July 24th until August 6th, 2016. It’s a jam-packed festival full of all kinds of everything with events to suit all ages.
Carrick Water Music Festival will take place in Carrick on Shannon from 13th to 17th July.
