Happy June! Too bad that someone didn’t tell the weather! There’s loads of Sligo Food News, as we head into the summer season. I got the chance to visit some new places, and returned to some old places, and I’ve gathered up some news that I’ve seen online too. Happy reading!

Sligo Food Trail in conjunction with Visit Sligo recently launched the Sligo Picnic initiative, and I was invited to The Diamond Coast Hotel to try their offering, and it was wonderful! I love the idea of picking up a picnic and heading off wherever the road takes you. No more sweaty sandwiches from home! You can read my dedicated post here, and check out the range of picnics here: https://sligofoodtrail.ie/plan-your-visit/sligo-picnic/

I was in Pink Clover at the weekend and had porridge for breakfast, it was gorgeous. It’s such a lovely café, and well worth a visit. You have to try the sandwiches – Michelle makes her own bread and scones, and you can taste the quality. What a talent! https://www.instagram.com/pinkcloversligo/
I visited Dream Coffee at Healy Plants – and went back again just for the raw brownie! Unreal! Pic of Dream Coffee at the top of the blog post – this was the normal brownie, which was equally delicious. https://www.instagram.com/dreamcoffeesligo/

I visited The Gate Lodge for their caramel frappe. I love it there, and it’s great value for money. Find them at Doorly Park, Sligo.
