I was in town bright and early this morning, for an event in Doorly Park, so I got a chance to call to Lough Gill Brewery to check out Sligo’s newest café. The brewery used to have a coffee cart, run by their sister company Brew & Barrel in Queen Maeve Square, but they’ve now opened a café, where you can sit in, or takeaway.

At the time of writing, they are open 8am -3pm daily, and it’s very handy to have somewhere across from the playground to grab a coffee. They are in the same estate as Pearse Road Tyres, and Zero Gravity Skatepark, and just beside the Cleveragh Retail Park (Mr. Price, Dealz, Expert Electrical, ROM, etc.)

I treated myself to a lovely cappuccino, and an apple slice, and sat outside to make the most of the sunshine. You can find a selection of baked treats from O’Hehir’s Bakery.
They have lovely clean toilets too – which is wonderful! How sad am I?
Wishing them all the best on their new venture.
