Happy Sunday and hello to April. I wasn’t going to write a Sunday Thoughts today, I don’t think I have much to say, so I’m just going to start typing and see what happens. That’s the thing about these blog posts, they are never preconceived, I never know what they are going to be about.
There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes, and it’s looking like a solution has been found to a big problem. Huge sighs of relief all round, and you’ll hear more about that in the coming weeks.

I went to the Sligo Abbey open day during the week, it’s well worth visiting there, not just for the history and heritage, but for the fact that you never know who will show up. Earlier this week Ardal O’Hanlon and Timmy Mallett were both visitors, they weren’t there when I was. Probably just as well, as I’d have been fangirling.

I enjoyed my visit, especially listening to the music, and the lovely chat I had with photographer Joe Caheny. Joe is a fantastic photographer, and he called into The Hands of Sligo exhibition in November and took the photo above, as well as many others.
The Range opened in Sligo on Friday, I was up early, so I went to queue before it opened, I would never normally do that, but I’d heard so many good things about the shop, and I really enjoyed the chats I had with the people in the queue. It was also blissful walking around in a quiet shop, I’ve heard that it’s been packed since then.

One couple were in the queue from the night before, they had their dog with them (it’s a dog friendly store), they were given a hot tub for being the first customers. My blog stats have gone through the roof since I posted about the shop, over 19,000 read the post in one day, it just shows the interest there is in Sligo shops.
I’ve got a bit of a cold (probably why I didn’t have a cake at Sligo Abbey), I’m not too bad, but it’s worse at night, with a tickly cough that won’t stop, so I’m tired today, and I’ll spend the day doing nothing. I didn’t even get out for a walk this morning, and it’s a beautiful day. We’ve had amazing weather this week, although there’s still a biting wind that makes it feel cold.
Next week is a quiet week, I have a meeting with a friend planned, so hopefully I’ll be better by then. Thanks for reading and wishing you a happy Sunday.
