Happy Birthday to Lovage at The Gate Lodge

Lovage at The Gate Lodge in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, celebrates one year in business today. I was up bright and early (too early for breakfast if you know me you’ll know I’m early for everything!) but I did enjoy my vegan cake and coffee.

It’s a gorgeous cafe, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can either sit looking out at the river or next to the woodburning stove.

I love their range of dishes and the fact that they cater for vegans and vegetarians, as well as meat eaters. The last time I visited I had a plant based ‘pulled pork’ bap, which was lovely.
