Sunday Thoughts

It’s been a while since I’ve written a ‘Sunday Thoughts’ blog post, so here goes.

The last couple of weeks it’s like the tide has turned for me. First getting into the final of the Sockies (Ireland’s Social Media Awards), followed by being interviewed on The Sligo Show, and there’s other news on the horizon too, I don’t like to say too much in case I jinx myself, am I the only person like that? Apparently the word jinxed came from Sligo, I heard this on the Sligo Walking Tour that used to run from the Sligo Tourist Office. It’s from Alderman John Jinx, who didn’t turn up for an important vote. I’ve done a bit of digging and found this and also a thread on boards here.

As always I’ve gone off tangent. In other news I’m off the cake, goodness knows how long that will last, but I’m not walking as much as I used to as the dogs aren’t able for it and I’m starting to feel very unhealthy.

I also feel weary, I think it’s covid weariness. Did we ever think, looking back, that we would live through something like this? You’d have to be a very strong person for it not to take a toll on you. I’m also tired to the bone, but I’m going to get my B12 levels checked next week in case I need the injections again, I haven’t had a B12 injection in well over a year. I had a few tests in hospital in August of last year and my B12 was very high so I was advised to stop the injections, I know before I wasn’t absorbing it though so I’m wondering if I’m low again.

Apart from that all is fine. I’m painting away and mostly enjoying it, although one of the paintings is wrecking my head, I can’t get it right at all – that’s my issue when I paint from a photo. I’m better painting what’s in my head, nothing to compare it with. You can find my Etsy shop here, in case there’s anything you like.

I hope you are all keeping well, thanks for reading.
