Two New Coffee Places in County Sligo

Over the last couple of weeks two new coffee places have opened in County Sligo and now that we can travel within our county I thought I’d check them out.

Beanieman at Healy’s Plants

The first one Beanieman Brews which is a coffee cart located in Healy’s Plants (Waterglade’s Garden Centre), near the Holy Well. They serve Carrow Coffee which is from Beltra and cakes from Le Fournil in Sligo town. It’s great to have a place to get a coffee at this side of the town and I wish them all the best. I bought a Cappuccino and it was very nice. You can find them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/beaniemanbrews

Kinder Bueno Milkshake

The second one is Ripples, this is a coffee hut/stop located at the Riverside, Sligo. It’s where the conservatory of the Riverside Hotel was, look out for the bright yellow hatch and you can’t miss it. I’d seen their milkshakes on social media so I had to check it out. I bought the Kinder Bueno milkshake and it was lovely. The service was friendly and I like how they give people a number and you can move from the hatch until your order is ready. They do quite a range of foods, at quick glance I noticed sausage rolls (and veggie ones), toasties, etc. You can find them here: https://www.facebook.com/ripplessligo

Caramel Frappe at The Millstone Cafe

I’m adding one more in here because I paid a visit to the Millstone Cafe at the Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown. I bought a caramel frappe and a slice of carrot cake, both delicious. I’d previously bought cakes for my birthday from the lady who runs the cafe and they were gorgeous. At the moment they are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9.30am to 3pm, this may change when the folk park reopens in June. As well as cakes and coffee you can find soup, salads and homemade sausage rolls. Find them on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/The-Millstone-Cafe-111005100762785

So there you are, a few new places to try out. Of course all are takeaway only at the moment due to restrictions.
