The new advertising campaign from Tourism Ireland was announced yesterday. The global campaign “Fill your heart with Ireland” will begin next month. The first phase will focus on the North and Northwest and that’s all wonderful – but they have bypassed Sligo completely. So I’m going to show you that there’s nothing to see in Sligo:
Wild Goats in the Ladies Brae.
The Devil’s Chimney – the tallest waterfall in Ireland
The mighty Benbulben Mountain. The backdrop of Sligo town.
Strandhill a thriving village on the Wild Atlantic Way. With Queen Maeve’s Cairn and Knocknarea in the background.
Horse riding in Enniscrone, Sligo
The Garavogue, Sligo. One of the shortest rivers in Ireland.
The Wild Atlantic Waves that bring surfers from all over the world.
Walks and trails that take in stunning scenery.
Caves and mythology.
Myths and magic.
Tombs that are older than the pyramids.
As you can see there’s nothing in Sligo 😉
