Life isn’t a competition

Yes the sleep is a bit all over the place at the moment but thanks to antihistamines I’m getting at least a few hours.

There were some things I’ve noticed recently and I don’t know if it’s a Sligo thing or across the board. Have you ever noticed when you are doing well people get a bit ‘sniffy’? Maybe it’s just me over analysing – it wouldn’t be the first time! I think some people seem to feel a bit threatened, like I’m in competition with them. They seemed to deal with me far better when I was in my dark tunnel keeping my head down.

I’m not competitive – unless it’s a hat competition – long story! I’m happy to live and let live. You carry on doing what you’re doing and I’ll do my own thing.

At the moment I’m winning in the competition that is life and that’s good enough for me. All the rest is a bonus 🙂

  1. Your posts are inspiring Val, your facing the same slings and arrows as the rest of us but still manage to keep going and find pleasure in a photo a conversation or day out. it’s not like you have left everybody behind or forgot about them, what the are missing is if we didn’t have well people to pick up the fallen where would we be?
