Lunch with a view at Wild Atlantic Food

The view from Wild Atlantic Food

One of my new favourite places for lunch at the moment is Wild Atlantic Food. It’s located at the Sligo Golf Academy in Ransboro so just a short drive from Strandhill, Ballisodare or Sligo town. The view is just something else! Where else can you get an Alpaca looking in at you??

The Sligo Golf Academy also has a little pet farm – hence the alpaca. There’s also a lovely outdoor area so it’d be perfect for parties.

Coffee and Books

As Sligo library is closed for three weeks Wild Atlantic Food have come up with a novel  idea (pun intended). You bring along a book you’ve read and get to pick another one. They are all wrapped so it’s like a Blind Date with books. I was delighted to get a Patricia Cornwell book that I haven’t read yet.

Pancakes

Now onto the food, it’s fabulous! Jono had the pancakes (above), Lucy had soup (there’s always a vegan option so it’s one of the few places we can all eat something) and I had a lovely scone. I’d suggest checking out the Facebook page – their food photos are great.

Wild Atlantic Food are open Monday – Thursday 10:30-17:30 and Friday & Sat 12:00-17:30.
