With ‘Summer’ here, you wouldn’t know it from the weather, and following on from my food in Sligo town post, I thought I’d do a round-up of some of my favourite places to eat in Co. Sligo.

Harrison’s Bar and Restaurant, Cliffoney. Well worth a visit – gorgeous food and brilliant customer service. Pictured above is the Wild Atlantic Way platter – delicious.

Eithna’s By the Sea, Mullaghmore. If you love seafood you’ll love Eithna’s. The restaurant is a stones throw from the sea so this is the freshest you’ll get. Check out the desserts too!

Vintage Lane Cafe, Rathcormac. A lovely place for lunch, friendly faces and a cosy cafe. Just ten minutes from Sligo town too.

Harry’s Bar and Gastropub, Rosses Point. Fantastic food including vegetarian options in a quirky pub with friendly staff. Check out the chocolate spoons served with the desserts.
Wild Atlantic Food in Ransboro. One of the newest places to eat in Sligo – open for lunch every day except Friday. This was a chick pea curry and was delicious.

Trá Bán, Strandhill. Seafood and steak by the seaside. The emphasis is on locally grown, great quality food from this award-winning restaurant. A little bit of heaven.

The Draft House, Strandhill. Quirkiness and quality food in this gastropub. With a wide range of craft beers too and even kennels so your pooch will be safe while you eat.

Nook, Collooney. Another new place and perfect for lunch. Huge portions and delicious food, well worth a trip out of town.

Cawley’s Hotel, Tubbercurry. Lovely desserts, friendly faces and a pretty patio to relax in when the sun is shining.
So these are just a few places for you to try. Whenever I do one of these posts I always get messages about the places I didn’t include. I can’t include them all or it would be a book so these are some of my favourites. Happy eating!
