We are very lucky here in Sligo to have some brilliant markets and the Strandhill People’s Market is just one of them.
I went along to the market yesterday because I knew they would have a spooktacular day lined up. I loved how the place was decorated and how most of the stall holders had got into the Halloween spirit. They were also handing out treats for the kids. The sounds of Halloween music filled the air and everyone was in good spirits…see what I did there 😉
Above is the lovely June, who is a regular reader of the blog and one of the stall holders.
It’s brilliant news that the Strandhill People’s Market has been listed in the Top 10 of the Coolest Christmas markets in Europe in the Independent! Well done guys and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.
You can visit the market at Sligo Airport on Sundays from 11am – 4pm. They have some evening markets coming up for Christmas so keep an eye on their Facebook page. You can see the rest of my photos here. Thanks a million to Ciaran for the coffee and the sandwich 🙂
Thanks Val, for giving our brilliant and spooky fun market the spotlight. Thanks also, for giving me and my plaques and stall at the market a shout-out, too.
I love Strandhill, and love being a part of the absolutely fantastic Strandhill People’s Market ‘family.’ Anyone who comes to the market can see why it’s been listed among the Top Ten Coolest Markets in Ireland, if not all of Europe. It’s a great place to be on a Sunday – no matter the weather outside, it’s always chillin’ and fun inside Hangar 1. 🙂
Glad you had a great time on Sunday – great photos, as always. 🙂
You’re welcome June 🙂
