From kittens to cake

It’s been a busy couple of days, mostly good but something really annoyed me today. Lucy has had to go to a couple of appointments and I really don’t understand why some people think they can talk to young people like they are a bit of dirt. It costs nothing to be polite and I firmly believe that people should treat others as they wish to be treated. I ended up having to go into this particular person and explaining that she didn’t give Lucy a chance to respond and that there is no need to be rude. She was as nice as pie to me and hopefully she’ll think twice in the future when she talks to young people again. I was very proud of myself as I stayed calm and this woman got a shock when I confronted her…I tell you if I could have backflipped I would have done it out of the office! 😉

Now for better things. Lucy won a ‘Death by chocolate’ cake from Hearts Desire here in Sligo. I had to try it, just for research purposes and it was wonderful…and luckily nobody died.

The cake was so nice I went back for lunch there today and it was fantastic and at €4.50 a great price, highly recommended.
