I know I’ve blogged about them before but I have to do another one to say a huge thank you to South Sligo Stables. I had the chance to go around by myself on Lily today. Lily is a bit giddy ( a bit like myself) and I was a bit nervous.
Frank and Kellie were so patient and let me go around the arena….I was all over the place to begin with but I got there in the end. It’s now I realise that until you are on your own on a horse you don’t know if you can ride at all….because in a riding school situation the horses tend to follow the horse in front. So it was brilliant to get a chance to have a go on my own. I was worn out when I finished and I’m still heavy-handed with the reins which I hope I’ll control soon.
It was a brilliant day and I can’t praise Kellie and Frank enough, they are the most friendly people you could wish to meet. I feel so at home there. 🙂 Sorry about the old pics I didn’t take any today.
Didn’t realise you did horse riding…good for you. They’re beautiful horses. And you played to my ex-dancer status with that title!!
I won a lesson from twitter and it got me hooked 🙂 I was an ex-dancer too: https://magnumlady.com/2009/02/27/the-friday-photo-challenge/
Congratulations on a successful day! The pics of the horses are marvelous.
Thank you 🙂
A fun shot of Lily, can almost imagine stroking that soft nose! And I can tell Kelly and Frank are my kind of people!
